SMS Defence Solutions now has an international client base and offices located in Melbourne, Adelaide and Ballarat, and is planning a Canberra office in late 2005/early 2006.

Recent success in growing our business means that we require additional resources to support a wide range of projects. We are seeking a number of qualified graduate and experienced Software, Systems and Integration Engineers to join our project teams in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra. Applicants with technical experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:

  • Systems and Software Engineering - entire SDLC, system specification requirements analysis, design and development, integration, test and maintenance, development of associated artefacts
  • Languages - Java, C++, C#, SQL, HTML, XML, ASP, JSP, JavaScript, Web Services, UML
  • Operating Systems - Windows, Linux
  • IDEs - Eclipse, Visual Studio .Net, JBuilder, MS SQL Server
  • CASE Tools - requirements and configuration management, Enterprise Architect or Rational Rose
  • Graphics Toolkits - OpenGL and OpenSceneGraph
  • Integration - hardware/software integration, configuration management, testing

At a personal level, you will need to be able to work to deadlines in a team environment, and possess effective organising and problem solving skills together with a good written and verbal communication style. Team leadership and project management experience would also be highly regarded.
