SMS Defence Solutions is supporting the Joint Combined Training Capability (JCTC) Project, also known as JP 2098.
This project is a combined Australian / US initiative designed to increase the use of simulation in
training and to network military exercises to enhance high-end bilateral training.
The approach is to upgrade Australian Defence training areas in both Queensland and the Northern
Territory through the networking of state-of-the-art facilities, including the use of instrumentation
and simulation. The initial focus of the JCTC is to provide an Initial Operating Capability in support
of Exercise Talisman Sabre in mid 2007.
SMS Defence Solutions is providing leadership in integration and test activities of the JCTC,
which comprises a number of simulation and C2 products from a range of vendors.
SMS Defence Solutions is applying structured methodologies aimed at reducing or retiring critical
large systems integration risk early in the project lifecycle through programs of early definition, prototyping and testing.
