Project JP2070 is aimed at acquiring an effective anti-submarine warfare weapon for the AP-3C Orion aircraft, Seahawk and Seasprite helicopters, and ANZAC and FFG class frigates.
The Eurotorp MU90 advanced lightweight torpedo was selected as the preferred solution in 1999.
SMS Defence Solutions supported Tenix
in the design work associated with integration of this torpedo to the AP-3C Orion, through
requirements analysis, design synthesis and cost estimation, evaluation of alternate design
solutions, requirements modelling, writing of the design document.
