Basic Information

Q. What is the Minimum System Requirements?
Answer.
  • XP service pack 2, P4 2GHz 256Mb RAM, 40Mb HDD. Recommended System is P4 3GHz or Equiv 1Gb RAM.

Q. What are the supported Software Versions?
Answer.
  • The supported software versions are Microsoft Flight Simulator Version 9 (2004) (version 10 is coming soon) and Microsoft Windows XP

Q. What are the Supported Licences?
Answer.
  • A user can purchase a license for operating within the following configurations:
    1. DIS to Flight Sim
    2. HLA to Flight Sim
    3. HLA or DIS to Flight Sim.
  • Note: that you can only ever use one interface at any one time. If you have purchased the third license, then you can run either DIS or HLA to Flight Sim configurations, but you can not run DIS and HLA to Flight Sim concurrently.

Basic Problems

Registration

Q. How do I register my application?
Answer.
  • Registration is part of the product purchase process. To purchase, go to our purchase page and fill in the requested information.
Q. How do I get my client codes?
Answer.
  • You obtain the two client codes using the --show-client-codes command line argument as documented in your user manual.
Q. How do I get new registration codes for an old purchase?
Answer.
  • Send an Email to us with proof of purchase and two new client codes and we can send you new registration codes. You can obtain two new client codes by using the --show-client-codes command line argument as documented in your user manual.

Software

Q. The application starts and then exits immediately.
Answer.
  • There are two possible causes.
    1. You are attempting to run a demonstration version of the software that has timed out.
    2. You have inadvertently turned off both the DIS and HLA interfaces. You need at least one interface enabled for the application to run. This same scenario can be be caused by enabling an interface that you are not licensed for while turning off the interface you are licensed for.

Network

Q. Microsoft Flight Sim cannot find the Gateway Session.
Answer.
  • The Gateway is most likely being blocked by a firewall. You need to either deactivate the firewall or configure the firewall to not block the Gateway.
